My hubby brought me a big box of Thortons chocs. He knows I love them. Shall go and have a bath later and take a glass of wine and my chocs with me. Pity the eldest is in. hahaha.

We agreed 'no cards' and definitely no flowers as I can't bear those multi coloured mixed bunches from supermarkets.

He made me a card! From a sheet of A4 from the printer!

How sweet was that after 37 years wed!

Helen1959 Report 14 Feb 2010 22:27

My youngest came home last night after finishing work and her boyfriend had brought her the biggest single red rose I've ever seen. My eldest hates Valentines Day. She's 26 and never had a boyfriend, she was too busy concentrating on uni to bother with boys and all the ones she seems to like turn out to be gay.

I got nothing from my OH,but he DID give me a cuddle,say he loved me,and cook tea----that counts,doesn't it???(He doesn't believe in Valentine's Day,that's what he tells me,anyway,lol)

Margot.

Lady A--maybe he is-but it was expensive,he has very good taste, and at least you got something..

Margot,
would hubby normally of done that? In my eyes if he doesn't normally do that sort of thing, then that is a romantic gesture. I wish mine would do something like that.

Brummie Helen--he does do that sometimes, not all the time.Valentine's day is just another day to him. He's quite a good cook, actually.

Lady Augusta-at least if he brings you expensive face cream,he is thinking of you.He doesn't come home empty-handed!
