Blimey,Teresa,I wouldn't even try to to interpret that one-maybe there's some symbolism in your OH's botched arm operation, and the blood on your hands,in the toilets. It all sounds a bit convoluted, and busy.
Maybe you need to slow down a bit,and smell the roses, and stop trying to fit so much into one day.Take some time out for your self.

Nothing else comes to mind.

(We haven't spoken before,Teresa.I should have put that first, but it won't fit.) Nice to "speak" to you.

Margot.

The one Freudian interpretation thing I can tell you --

Bugs in dreams are a symbol for the male. ;)

I know this because ... many years ago I decided to go see a sort of psychoanalyst -- a professor at the local university who took patients, whom a good friend was seeing. I told her about a dream, in which I was in the basement of the house I lived in (my apartment was the upstairs) -- but all the rooms were different from what they were supposed to be. It was okay though, because I was able to find "my" room. But in the hallway, I saw three big bugs on the wall. Two were the same, yellow ones. The third was different. I'd never seen a cockroach, but I decided that one must be a cockroach.

The psychiatrist was very amused. Bugs are a symbol for the male ... I had two the same and one different ... and the one different, I decided was a ... cock ... roach. I think that probably made the rounds at the psychoanalyst coffee klatch.

So you are travelling with women, and you have your OH getting a body part cut off, the blood on your hands is secret women's stuff ... and the huge bug (mine were definitely oversized too) flies out the window and goes away.

I think Freud might have a field day. Harbouring any resentment/envy of men and their parts, are we? ;)

Me, I dreamed two nights ago that I was in bed with Bill Clinton. Hilary was there and didn't seem to care, although I was embarrassed.

How did you guess Shelly? LOL

Well it's not for lack of trying, but there's so much competition for so few jobs, that I rarely even get a reply to my application let alone an interview. I suspect my age might have something to do with it, so I'm broadening my search. Something is better than nothing.

Perhaps that was symbolistic of you having unloaded your brain.

I really think dreaming is just the brain processing information you have taken in during the day. I do find I dream more when I have been busy, and hopping from one thing to another.

Yesterday I did read a lot of different things, from my book, magazines, and all the stuff coming in from the writing group, maybe I just overloaded the brain.

But why the huge insect crawling down the wall then flying out of the window? LOL

This one is totally crackers, but so vivid.

It began somewhere, not sure where, but we were allowed out for the day to do some shopping. Me and two other women. One was Shirley from Eastenders, the other was a younger dark-haired woman. They went into a cafe while I went into another shop. We seemed to be in Ipswich, sort of.

I went back to the cafe, and they were both gone, but in the toilets, my OH was having an operation to have his arm cut off, but it was not successful and I had to look after him. That done, I went back to the cafe, where the dark harired woman was there waiting for me. I had blood on my hands, and I rinsed it off with water (where from I have no idea), and it was menstrual blood. EEK!

The other two didn't turn up again (yes I know, dark-haired had gone), so I got in a taxi. Driven by Shirley! I looked back and they were both in the cafe. As we turned the corner, (in Colchester now), I said, 'I don't know what to do. Can we go full circle and pick them up?'' which Shirley did.

I went back into the cafe, and watched a HUGE fly, big as my hand, walking down the wall. It decided to go behind the curtain, and when I looked behind it, the insect flew away out of the window and into the night sky...lots of stars.

Then I woke up.
