Thank you everyone for your help.
It has been interesting finding out about the parriss family and pump house. joseph was a watchmaker .i think he lived above the shop (hence name) and i think lucy married earnest jones in 1934.
have not found any connection with my family But i have found a decendant of joseph parriss . i have been in touch and am waiting to hear from him.

It was the Pump House Hotel, Llandrindod Wells.

I lived in Llandrindod for a few years.

Thank you for your help .this could lead to finding a branch of family
the postcard was addressed to miss parriss . from the pump house llandidnod
maybe some romance? I am glad the shop is still there.
i also googled it and found a shopping centre.
