Dunnit too, Dizzi. Finally a few days later went and had it x-rayed. Then I heard the hospital types outside my curtain saying: Well, *that* one's going to have arthritis!

Broke both bones *through* the joint - cracked up 'n down the bones, not across.

And sure enough. That joint don't bend at all now. Probably helped make the bunion worse. I hope you fare better!

Allan, you deserved a lot more than a broken toe. You trying to take over the board anti-critter position??

I did once throw a cat across a room. But it was a very small room, and the cat had just tried to take my nose off with its teeth, and detaching it was my main concern. But then, the cat was only semi-domesticated, and had an abscess on its bum, and I should have known better than to pick it up to put it in the carrier to go to the vet. I think we were both excused.

Poor you. I kicked a door in frustration and cracked one of mine. It still plays up if I wear 'heels' for too long.

Plaster tape it to the next one if you can...provides a natural splint.
