I would think this is maybe more likely to be him, Frederick:

Marriages Jun 1873
Gilboy Mary Newcastle T. 10b 153
Murray Agnes Newcastle T. 10b 153
ROBINSON George Newcastle T. 10b 153
> Story Nichol Newcastle T. 10b 153

If you do what I did, search at FreeBMD for

marriages
surname STOR*
given name NIC*

you can see the potential candidates.

In fact his name on the 1897 marriage was Nichol Storey, not Nicol.
And she was Sanderson, not Sandeson.
And the other was Nicholas, not Nickolas.
Spelling actually does count, when it comes to names - at least, when it comes to finding particular ones. People weren't always so careful about their own. ;)

Marriages Sep 1879
DODD Isabella Newcastle T. 10b 98
Hills William Newcastle T. 10b 98
SANDERSON Mary Ann Newcastle T. 10b 98
STOREY Nichol Newcastle T. 10b 98

Talk about typos - I'm the one who put "1897 marriage" when it should have been "1879 marriage". ;)

I'd meant to suggest -- two possible wives in that 1873 marriage:

Marriages Jun 1873
Gilboy Mary Newcastle T. 10b 153
Murray Agnes Newcastle T. 10b 153
ROBINSON George Newcastle T. 10b 153
> Story Nichol Newcastle T. 10b 153

Try searching for

deaths
surname STOR*
and each possible wife's given name.

No good match for an Agnes, but this Mary could have been the one:

Deaths Mar 1876
Storey Mary 28 Newcastle T. 10b 48

Anyhow, the only sure thing is to match the details - age, occupation, father's name - on the 1879 marriage certificate to another one, and I'd try that 1873 one first.
