just got up and we have thick snow quite unusual for us as we live in a valley. I walked down the garden and it had filled my footsteps up when I walked back. I love doing first footprints

Morning Quoy

We have snow too. When I walk Cass whilst he runs around I love to make patterns with my wellies in the freshly laid snow.

Morning Shimms, you are a stranger to me these days. Enjoy playing in the snow lol

Quoy, you too are a name from the past as far as I am concerned, haven't seen you for a long time. I wouldn't mind a little snow today as I don't have to go anywhere lol

I can see a lovely pink haze on the horizon.
Night all.

Morning Liz
I too didn't have to go any where today, but now I think I might be off to the hills with grandchildren and sledges

Morning Quoy and Shimms, we too have a good layer here in Shropshire, hubby on earlies today so was up at 5.45 to get his cuppa before he went, let the cats out and watched them tiptoe around trying to do their business before they started scratching at door to come back in. Then put my wellies and coat on over dressing gown and went and swept the path, luckily car is in the garage so didn't have to scrape it, watched him drive to end of road through the virgin snow. It was so peaceful and calm and clean.

Have a good day.

Alyson.

We have rain here in Essex.

I fully expected to see snow as we had quite a hard frost late last night

I love that first blanket of snow, those first footsteps as the snow crunches underfoot. The initial sound of silence as if everyone is watching open mouthed at this wonder.

Then the love affair dies...ice, slush...petrified of slipping..worried about hubby driving...it goes on and on...

But the first hours...magic !

Why can't you go for a walk anyway? I'd rather walk in snow than rain TBH.

Ours has turned to rain again now, but we had loads falling for about an hour...and it settled. Gone again now.

I'm like you Qouy, I love first footprints, or as my mum says, walking on virgin snow. Love that crunch. I'm just fed up of looking at it now, there's been so much of it.

Hello all, I didn't get to bed until 5 this morning (playing on comp).

There was no snow at all then, but lo and behold, about 5ins today.

It is a beautiful, sunny, warmish day and I am going to enjoy doing nothing.

Love, Nina from Sheffield.
