If my old man had been badly behaved enough to be in the doghouse, I wouldn't be wanting peace offerings, only better respect in the future. This works both ways though, we should give them respect too. There should never be a need to say sorry because we shouldn't do anything which we would be sorry for later anyway. |

If my OH ever swallowed his pride enough to actually say the word 'Sorry' that would be more than good enough for me. Usually, he'll stomp out and be gone for about an hour...coming back with a bar of chocolate, denying it was an apology....but it is clearly guilty conscience LOL |

Just been to the local shop and overheard a conversation between a customer and the shopkeeper, apparently the customer was in the doghouse with his missus and the shopkeeper said "why not get her some chocolates or flowers to make up" Man replied, "she don't like either of them" |
