i searched for 10 years for my butlers
Glaswegian great grand parents

only to find them in Dumbarton

oh his family scoffed
but there they are
eight siblings and parents
all ages match and names

When my Gt Grandmother first went into her nursing home, way back in the 1960snobody could find her birth cert for pension purposes. Her maiden name was Duval. It was as though she didn't exist.

I searched a couple of years ago and found it under DOVAL. Not the transcriber's fault, that is what was written on the cert. No wonder nobody could find it. I wonder if she ever got her proper pension entitlement.

have searched for 10 years or so to find my gran´s youngest brother & his wife on the 1881 census.
Wanted Alfred Crowder, born 1855 Birmingham.
Found him yesterday
Albert Crowler.
If I´d known that I could have saved myself hours.
