god knows what happened there,
my message wouldnt go on,
the screen wouldnt go back to genes,

as i was saying,
a neighbour but a note thru door , thier house was broken into just few doors up, bout 2 weeks ago,
and 4 more houses in same week,
(youd think police would notify papers)
well it was round 8pm, and the others have been during day,

the wierd thing is the last few weeks the dogs have been barking like mad when i go to bed, or in night
i do pay attention to um,
i let the older one out, cos she is intimidating,
she dont let up when she barks till i call her in,
then she still has the odd warning woof,
was worried she was a bit too full on, but thank god she is

she was right up to him,

have to hold on to little one, cos she barks, goes running but keeps running thinking whey im free, Freedom at last,

I always felt happier when I lived alone with just my young son, and had my Daisydog! She would have licked anyone to death but her bark was a bit scary and used to make people jump sometimes so I did feel that she would have made anyone think twice about trying to get in the house.
Have you got neighbourhood watch round your way Julie, if not maybe time to start one.

my M.I.L was telling us there had been two break ins across the street from here living in avilliage we dont get many ,but there coming from another villiage have told M.I.L to ring us if shes worried as she lives on her own and her other two sons live just round the corner and were 5mins away,it was only last year her S.I.L who is 82 and termally ill had two men looking at her boiler they said some work would have to be done, then one of them rang her up and said there was problem with the bank could she give them her pin number, which she did they then empyed her account and also stole 100 euro from her bedroom,if they would have done it the next day when her pension went in the would have had it all.scumbags do pick there mark dont they she lives on her own as well

hi guys
dutch thats so sad them men did that to that relative, at any age its bad but to pick on her and trick her into giving her pin number, these elderly are so trusting arent they,

i hope you m i l is ok, and rings at the first sound of prowlers,

i always keep mobile by my bed

Liz, we dont have neighbour hood watch,
but you know what its like people like us look out for the older ones ,
an elderly fella used to live across road,
and i member , tho he was spritely, i did keep an eye open when i saw some sales men hanging round his house,
unbeknown to me he had quiet a few young lads, who well respected him,
and were all over the local footy club, he used to go across and join them at the club in evenings,
my son told me how sad they all were when the fella died, in his late 80s,

you just have to keep your eyes open init, its not being nosey at all

Why not ask the neighbours if they want to start neighbourhood watch scheme and get your local cops round to talk to you all about it, having the signs up helps deter thieves etc as it shows them people are watching out, and they will move on elsewhere.

I did it years ago and it wasn't that hard to set up altho I had lots more houses than is suggested for one co ordinator and was before I had access to a computer so was hard to follow up info drops. Don't do it now I don't live there but it's still going strong and haven't been many problems in the last few years.
