How many episodes do you get a week?

Years ago on PBS, we got two, oldies. Then it went to three.

When we subscribed to BBC Canada several years ago, there were newer episodes, 4 a week. Now it's 5.

Does this mean you only get 4, and maybe we'll catch up some day??

TeresaW Report 24 Feb 2010 19:42

Four Janey, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

It's on today because the six nations rugby is on Friday.

JaneyCanuck Report 24 Feb 2010 19:52

Aha, so we *are* catching up! I'd had that impression.

Peter Wickes/Beale has just returned from NZ ...

We always lost 2 weeks of Coronation Street when the Olympics were on, i.e. every 2 years. Sometimes they showed doubles to catch up after, sometimes they didn't. This year CTV has them, the public broadcaster CBC wisely didn't throw money at getting them. So at least we're still only 10 months behind there.

Ken Barlow just decided not to sail away on a barge ...

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 24 Feb 2010 20:01

OMG was that ten months ago already? I can still see him standing on the bridge as she sails down the canal.LOL

Oooo you've got a cracking storyline coming up now Janey...just watch
Steven (not Peter, he's Lucy's twin brother)

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 24 Feb 2010 20:14

Duh, yes. I do only manage to keep a few names in my head, and I can then refer to all the others as "Stacey's boyfriend's father's wife" and like that. ;)

Well, Stephen seems like a misery, but I'm sure he'll be rehabilitated before long. Unless this is the "who shot Ian Beale" (again???) thread I've been studiously avoiding ...

Close, but not right LOL

I'm saying no more...but you'll be shouting at the TV in a few weeks

where are they now? did you know?

Sue Tully, aka Michelle Fowler

Susan Tully
Since leaving the show, Susan has gone on to enjoy a successful career behind the camera, producing and directing many British TV shows.

Unlike other stars, she hasn't returned to EastEnders, despite reportedly being asked back several times, most recently to attend the funeral of on-screen mum Pauline Fowler.

This year she has directed episodes of Silent Witness, before that she directed Lark Rise to Candleford, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, The Bill, London's Burning and EastEnders.

Janey sounds like you are up to the same as OZ for Coronation Street.

Eastenders we are coming up to Christmas 2009, so a fair way in front. We also had double episodes last year and caught up heaps. Now they are showing doubles of Coronation Street, and Ken Barlow has also decided not to sail away on a barge, I think.

Gail

JaneyCanuck Report 26 Feb 2010 15:54

Well then Gail, thee and me and any other foreign Corrie devotees should have our own threads -- will Ken sail away? won't Ken sail away?? -- and not allow anybody else on them to tell us what happens. ;)

The good thing about East Enders seems to be that the cast turns over so much that most of the time I don't even know what those threads are about because I've never heard of the characters!

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 26 Feb 2010 18:36

Whirley

Whirley Report 26 Feb 2010 19:06

I cldnt watch last night when Lucas took Sugar to the canal, cos I thought, OMG he's gonna chuck her in...I know it's only pretend, but I cant watch anything where an animal is hurt...so I switched off at that point,,,,,so I dont know if sugar ir well or not.....

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 26 Feb 2010 19:16

They didn't actually show it Whirley...there would be a riot!

All we know is that he was down the canal, and the next scene he was in back at home telling the boy not to give up looking for the dog.
