That's a good idea Julia, to let the rise out in the sun, I'll try that this summer (if we get one). I have a hot plate at the end of my range so i tend to pop them on there (on a baking tray) to rise. The rolls are really nice and I love having a supply in the freezer for when we have casserols, spag bol etc... I make Ciabatta loafs too, they're lovely....

Sounds like your BM has served you well:)

Hats off to you Whirley for using your BM to its true potential and versatility. I have made bread rolls with it. Once the bread mix was kneaded, I removed the dough from the machine, and knocked it into size and shape. I put the tolls on a baking tray, then put the tray inside a new black bin liner. Then I put it out on the patio table to rise in the sun.
Mine is also a Panasonic, but I have had it about 15 years, though it still works as well.

Julia I made a Pannatone cake at Xmas, it was quite nice, but you have to cook it off in the oven in a round tin. I make rolls (add cheese and tom to tops and add poppy seeds,,and freeze some) and french sticks for the freezer.

crikes thats along time Muffy, but depends on ya BM. Mines a Panasonic, recommend by the Good Food guide a while back (I bought it for OH's 40th. lol cos I wanted it really!!). The pizza programme is based on 300g of flour. A friend told me to leave the dough overnight then roll as tastes better but I havent tried that yet.

I get a big pizza out of that 300g so I could easily make 2 reasonable size ones...

I have never made anything other than bread in my breadmaker. Think it's time I sniffed the coffee as they say. Hope they all turn out okey.

Puss I do my own pizza and the dough is made by my breadmaker. It takes 45 minutes. I then roll out, spread the base with tom puree and add cheese, tuna or whatever I like. Mozarella is gr8 on it too and red onion. I never buy pizza now unless there's a buy one get one free on offer.

I always make my own Pitta & Naan breads too, courtesy of the breadmaker.

How odd !!! I was just digging out the recipe book for my breadmaker to find out how to make a pizza base...going to try homemade myself. Going to do mine and OH's side and let the girls do their own once the tomato and cheese were cooked a bit.

Good luck with yours !!! xx
