I'm trying to order a couple of certificates from the General Regester, I haven' t done this for a while and I've forgotten my password, I sent off the Forgotten password message a couple of days ago with no response, is there another site that I can obtain certificates from?

Just register again.I have done it before.
Only buy from GRO or a local Registrar.

unless you have another card or register again as a new customer ?
