Triggered by the earthquake which hit Chile, killing 147 people. I have a friend who lives in Santiago and as all electricity was cut off, we cannot contact her. Fingers crossed and hoping no further loss of life. BC XX

I hope your friend is safe BC.

I'm concerned for our NZ friends. We've been warned to stay away from the beaches and not to go sightseeing.

They are saying in Hawaii that its more of a surge than a full blown Tsunami, and I'm sure it was an Australian Guy on Fox news, shown via Sky, that it wasn't as bad as they first thought it might be. I'll keep listening, as fourth wave still has to come.

The prediction is now that it may get higher as it reaches Japan.

They have issued a tsunami warning for the coastal areas here in BC.
Also right down the coast - Washington, Oregon, California.

Just reported, the Tsunami has hit Australia but no big wave reported.
