A few years ago when I first got into the internet and chatting on here a 'friend' said to me "you want to becareful of the internet and that you don't shut yourself off from us real people"

3 years down the line I have said to him how pleased that I am back on the net, because without the friends on here I would have been lost at times. Then happily stated who was there for me when it was the anniversary of my dad's death ...not them who knew my dad well thro me, but you all that are here.
Who gets me thro' lonely nights ...not them .....but you lot here.
Who makes me laugh when I am down ..well I haven't seen him running over with a joke book...but boy do you all make me laugh.
So he said .....eeekk so given us real people and them on the net who would you choose.

My reply to him was there is no choice and excuse me but I am missing a conversation

Do you think I may have lost a "friend" lol ....

I have to say this chap is not what I would class as a true friend just when he needs you lol

I have given and needed support on here and its been great, i took some time out and couldnt wait to come back , hope you make many more friends.
F ace book is good but there is not always someone round to chat too xx

I am not able to drive, so am limited to waiting for OH to take me anywhere and he is not an enthusiastic mixer. I have felt so much more in touch and much happier because of the conversations I have been able to join in here. Nice too that not all are women.

Jean yes it's a good mix (sometimes). Most times I am here cos OH although anti social (his words) is at work till sometimes 2am ...

Foggy if I was bothered I would have gone 3 yrs ago ....
