I lay there thinking last night when I should have been asleep, when we were kids at the chippy it was always cod and chips and peas or for a few coppers extra, hake, chips and peas but I hadn't seen or heard of hake for years, so... today I asked the fishmonger at our local M*******s about hake, had we used it all and he said, "Madam, you did say hake? we have it there on the counter" I said a quick thank you and slipped into the crowd, so much for thinking when I should be asleep. maybe I should stop thinking.
