Poor thing. Something had hit it - or a cat had caught it ... it was sheltering in the doorway of the office round the corner - wing half-off.

I am feeling guilty now 'cos I should have tried to catch it and taken it to the vet - but had new coat on and no phone and nothing to catch it with ...

Hope someone has sorted it out.

No Teresa!

I know pigeons are considered to be vermin, but the poor thing was staggering about very near the road when I popped to the shop, and then sheltering in the doorway on my way back and it was obviously stunned ...

If I'd had the strength (and an old coat that wouldn't have shown the stains) I'd have caught it and wrung it's neck, but I couldn't and now I feel awful about it.

You would not feel that guilty if you had been with my grandaughter yesterday. She was walking along the street eating a bag of chips when she was attacked by pigeons for her chips and they won. They knocked them onto the ground.I must admit i did laugh, she is 16. Annie

Hi Hayley

Yes - I am ... with my big waterproof hat on in case I get dive-bombed!

LOL at Grannie's granddaughter! Bless her. Reminds me of the time that a seagull swooped across the little bridge at Linton and nicked stepdaughter's ice cream from the cornet!!
