Susan, I knew there was a good reason for going to bed last night, it was so that I could not be here when you posted an Irish Lullaby, that would have had me sobbing lol :))

Irish music, does it to me, it is in my genes ...put on the Uillean pipes and I am away :)).

Tell me when you're going to Ireland, i shall fling things in a case and meet you at the pier/airport lol

xx

Don't even ask!

I thought I would sing all me songs through-out the night :-)

Actually....I wonder if anyone else is like me.......I can stop myself being lonely by playing music and transport myself back in time or to a plane that is welcoming........Weird I am, I know....but it works....every time :-)))))

And before anyone else says it....Of course I am daft!....never said I wasn't! :-)))

Over in Killarney
Many years ago,
Me Mither sang a song to me
In tones so sweet and low.
Just a simple little ditty,
In her good ould Irish way,
And l'd give the world if she could sing
That song to me this day.
"Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, hush now, don't you cry!
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, that's an Irish lullaby."
Oft in dreams I wander
To that cot again,
I feel her arms a-huggin' me
As when she held me then.
And I hear her voice a -hummin'
To me as in days of yore,
When she used to rock me fast asleep
Outside the cabin door.
