without going into it, has anyone found that someone's name, the same in 'my contacts' and inbox, is different when you look for it in your 'sent messages'? I know it sounds odd lol

but as an example only

John Smith in 'my contacts'
John Smith in 'in box'
John Jones in 'sent messages'

?

yes I have noticed Rose, but no idea why.

I thought it was only women contacts that had that - one of them will come in as their maiden name and then the reply in their married name. Had not noticed it with blokes names. How odd.

it did strike me as odd, I can see where in contacts it will have two different names , board and 'real', or maiden and married...but never noticed it in 'sent' before lol

yep ive noticed this as well, one "original" name say for contacting a hot match, but another when the reply comes back.

yes it happens mainly with females mine will give my maiden for sent and married for inbox so I guess most know me as maiden cos thats wat they see

Most of the time I can work out who is who - but when I've added info to one of the help threads and then several days letter have a personal message about it I have the devil of a job matching them up sometimes! Half the time nowadays I don't bother and just ignore them!
