This is THE chocolate cake to make. Not cheap, but the only cake except Christmas cake that impressed my guests. I was trying to impress my daughter's new boyfriend LOL

oo I like granola. Not sure if I can eat it yet, but when the teeth are settled I'll give it a go.

I can vouch for this one Birdi.

I'd put it in the middle shelf and keep turning it at regular intervals to make sure it's done throughout...and the top IS supposed to be crispy(and quite dark looking) and the middle moist. It's a very sloppy mixture but with a bit of patience is well worth the effort x

Thanks, Muffy

It's in my binder so I can't lose it!

It's a pity they've removed all the comments on this site 'due to technical troubles' as they are often the deciding factor on whether I make something or not. I can recommend the Granola recipe.

No I didn't Teresa, when I went to local shop to get the flour and cinnamon, which i didn't have, they didn't have any and i didn't have time to go upto to A**a on the Sunday to get them, but I have noted it in my recipe book and will do it soon. I made some carrot and swede mash and put it in the freezer.

That's the one EPIPHANY lol.

They LOVE it TW in fact they ask me not to buy the cakes but to make them myself ...which i'd never in a million years have thought anyone would ask of me lol.

Birdi...i can post the recipe if you want...

Helen1959

Helen1959 Report 7 Mar 2010 21:46

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 7 Mar 2010 21:45

epiphany?

Seriously, well done, and it will encourage the girls to cook eventually too, they will remember this...and remember how much tastier home cooked food really is.

Hi Muffy

Well done!

We've only 'spoken' on a couple occasions. I love baking but my cakes are rubbish. I would love your recipe; it sounds just the thing for Easter.
