Hi,

I recently bought my son a Asus Eee PC netbook from a well known online auction site.

The problem I'm having is getting it to connect to my wireless thingy (well you know what I mean). After I find my Homehub and click connect, I enter my key and then it states it's pending, but it's still pending 1 hour later, by then I've grown inpaticent (spelling??). Am I doing something wrong?

if you go down the bottom right hand corner click on the little tv screen and it should tell you if your connect it or it will say repair ( just a possible ) and are you holding down f8 and cntrl at same time till light is on at bottom of notebook hope that helps xx

thanks for your reply.

The little tv icon confirms that there is no connetion. It doesn't do anything when I press f8 and ctrl....... blinking thing!!! All I wanted is to keep my son off my pc so I could surf, that teaches me doesn't it.

lol , the only thing i can think off isfinding the button for turning the wireless symbol button on its in the instruction manuel but youve probably done that , good luck xx

Found that button, I fink the netbook may find my window soon....... don't know whether to laugh or cry... you know when you knock your funny bone, well that's how it is!!! LOL!!!

yes i know the arguements we have had over computers is amazing, hang on a tick specky is looking it up now xx

specky says press fn button at same time as the button with wireless symbol on it xx

you may need to do it 3 or 4 times he says then you can put your key in xx he says lol xx

Thank specky very much from me, I've had to pack it away for now as my son will be home soon and he doesn't know about it yet. So I need to get it sorted by next Monday..... ah bless, his 13th birthday!!! He's sooo much like Kevin and Perry, it's unbeleivable!!!

I wil have a go again tonight once he's tucked up in bed.
