And now would someone start one that us foreigners can sign. We have to pay for the certificates as well.

Maybe we could petition our government to require your government to put a cap on the cost as one of our election promises!!!

No I won't sign...because there is nothing else that I can think of that hasn't risen in price over the last 9 years, that takes so many man hours to locate precisely, copy and send and gets me a slice of my own history without me having to even leave the house to get it :)

Petition against a justifiable increase and we might just find the GRO cutting staff to the extent that you wait three months for a cert not 3 weeks ? I personally wouldn't want that!

It would be great if they could spend some of the increase on digitizing the records so they could be viewed online but I suspect it may be needed to help pay the wages of staff after all they have increased bills that they need to pay too.
