I had this on my computer this morning, so clicked on to have a look what it was all about. They had matched me up with a relly that I already know about, and the section of the tree it showed, was a carbon copy of mine. Well it would be. I gave the relly all the info. What a waste of time. Nothing gained there!!!!!!!

Yes, it's about time Genes Reunited made a priority of telling us things we don't know rather than things we do.

My "Super Hot Matches" were with my 2nd cousin. We've each allowed the other to view our family trees since 2005. Couldn't GR's technical whizzes have worked this out?

Announcing matches with people in your contact list, with whom you're sharing trees, is not hot. It wastes time that could be spent on real research and raises the blood pressure. It's really dumb, thick, silly, annoying, and I wish they'd stop it.

Yep, I had one this morning. My cousin from up the road. I KNOW he's got loads of matches on his tree....it was is mother that wrote them down to get me started....and we shared much of it.

DOH!

Yes GR, tell us something we don't know. Do you really think that if there were more than one match in our tree with another we wouldn't already have been in contact?
