The holiday season is just around the corner and I thought it would be good to hear about other members holidays abroad. Mini breaks can be included.
It would be nice if you could add if you liked or disliked the place and stated if you would or wouldn't go again and give your reasons.

Thank you.

I have had some good holidays abroad over the years. My most recent one in Corfu last Sept/Oct was good altho travelling was a bit hit and miss, plane late arriving from Corfu to take us there, so got there in the wee small hours and a snotty rep sort of dumped us at our apartments and ran. Corfu airport is a nightmare of a place, far too small to cope with all the travellers so had to stand outside in the sun for hours with our luggage before we could check in to come home. Too many mosquitos and wasps but apartment fine, people lovely, and weather ok, some fantastic thunderstorms and lightening one evening which we watched in the dark from the restaurant we went to, the whole town lost it's power, good thing we had just got our main course but had to eat by one small candle light lol Might go back this year.

Can definitely recommend Kefalonia, loved Skala , better beaches than Corfu and sea was cleaner - well in was in the early 2000s.

We have had some great holidays to America, if you only get to take one make sure you visit the canyons - Grand canyone, Bryce, Archers, Zion and others, fantastic.
We also did a tour of the Southern states taking in Atlanta, Gracelands in Memphis, Chatanooga, Nashville, Baton Rouge, New Orleans and other places.
Another trip was to New England and Vermont
And another to New York state and Niagra.
Then another favourite was Vancouver and the Canadian Rockies, Glacier NP and Yellowstone NP.
We have also been to Yosmite, San Fransisco, Los Angeles and several time to Florida both to Orlando an to the coast at Clearwater.
Love America and canada.
Europe we have been to Switzerland, Germany (Bremen on one trip and Boppard by the Rheine), Paris several times, Florence, Pisa, Holland.

Don't think of these as foreign countries but we had a couple of good holidays in both Guernsey and Jersey
