That's a cop out and it doesn't wash at all!!!!! They are misleading the consumer by advertising an inflated RRP, phone trading standards, give them something to do.

Failing that do what my son did when a certain electrical store wouldnt't replace his VCR which was under guarantee. He stood outside their store and told everyone he could get to listen what had happened. Strangely within 2 hours he got a brand new upgraded replacement...lol

Well phoned head office and they got back to me today........
They told me that the RRP hadn't been changed or looked at since 1992 and when they first did it it was £40, they now reliase the RRP has gone down to £30 so the next time they reduce the perfume the lower RRP will be on the price, l asked her if that would happen now she told me no, it was to much to try and alter the whole network this time so l won't be getting a bargain on my perfume, tsk. ( mind you don't think l would buy it from them in future)

Hi Sue, it was behind the counter bur she showed me the plastic label.........had to get glasses out to read the RRP.
Am still phoning head office tomorrow, lol.
Did tell them if l wasn't satisfied with the result from head office l would be phoning trading standards.

Mummo,

Phone head office, they have stated in that store that the price is reduced by £13.90. If the words 'against usual RRP of £40.00' are not in the same size letters you have a case.

If they are implying that you know what the RRP is they are up the proverbial gum tree. They are misleading you, especially if you have bought the product at a lower price (which is their standard RRP before).

If they dither, go back and photograph the stand and signs and phone trading standards.

Good luck

Have you noticed that many of the supermarkets offering BOGOFF increase the price of the product by 1/3 for a few weeks before and after the offer.

Also - watch the 5p of a litre. Staple products in many of those stores are more expensive!

Mac, it was £1.99 each fillet, each one more than enough for one person so will make two meals and then some over for a fish pie.

The Herring roes came from Canada and were very tasty fried in butter, piled on thick slices of toast, without any butter or spread for health reasons lol O.h. hates things like that so I have them when he is at work, have to burn joss sticks to get rid of the pong before he gets home lol

I went into tescos earlier and bought a couple of summer blouses two for £8 or £5 each, a shrug for £8 and a reduced cardigan for £5. I also bought a few groceries. The till assistant and I started chatting about clothes and when I came home I found I had been charged for a second reduced price cardi, so I just called them and the girl said Oh I will write it in the book and when you come in next tell them and they will refund the £5! That's trusting isn't it? I mean I could have been trying it on to get money out of them, my word against the receipt that I only had 4 items. Sadly the cardi didn't fit, altho it is a sixe 22 the sleeves are so tight it's uncomfy, which is a shame as it was a lightweight cardi for summer. The blouses are a bit tight so three items to go back, the shrug is ok tho

Just off to have my herring milches and roes that I got there, and some lovely salmon too, very good price.

Mummo, try not to lose your temper with head office lol It's so infuriating to be wrongly charged.

unfortunately it's the price at 1 of their stores same as sales stuff a top could always have been £5 but if a store once sold it for £10 they can say 50% off and still sell at £5.
I hope you get a result

A couple of weeks ago l went into superd*** and brought some hairspray, while in there l noticed my perfume was on offer, (£13.90 off) so l brought some, it was only today when l went to get the hairspray out of the bag l noticed the receipt and thought £41.26 was wrong so had a look at realised they had charged me £26.90 for the perfume......................thats what l usually pay for it.
Well when l went in to tell them they'd made a mistake and they imform the RRP was £40 so l had been charged right, excuse me l said l've always paid £26.90 here for it not £40, there reply phone head office, will do tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
