I know it did Marion, and not one adult asked him what he was doing on his own. Unbelievable that. I think it sends out a wrong message, to children
A few years ago, I was coming back from Scotland on the train, alone, with the dog. Some people changed at one station coming down, to catch another for Blackpool. I think it was Crewe, but it was very busy. I do not know the route of a train from Blackpool to 'Weatherfield'/Manchester, but it certainly could not be tackled by a 6/7yr old lad, no matter how brainy.
Gives a false impression does that.

Yes didnt think it was done very well. At least he was told how silly he had been and it was a big bad world out there.

Marion, i think alot of children get their 'ideas' from watching TV programmes, and I think this was a very bad example, ever though he was told he was silly and there is a big bad world out there. Shame, in this instance, to the programme makers.

I must ask if my grandson was watching it and if he said anything. Hes about the same age. I dont think he would be so daft lol

I am not sure. He kept saying how he was frightened, how anything could have happened etc so maybe they were trying to get him to get the message across that it was not very nice. But it was a bit unbelievable that a 6 year old could (in his words) read a train time table, a bit of a stupid plot.

Takes me all my time to read a timetable lol
