I started off as .......Lou Dame from Denbighshire, but when l left North Wales to come back home to Portsmouth l decided a new name was called for so as my daughter calls me Mummo most of the time l thought thats what l'd call myself. |

I'm really glad to have posted this thread. The replies are really interesting. Good to see you too Mildred. owing to computer problems, haven't been around that much recently but noticed your absence. Thanks everyone for contributing. I've wanted to be ............... Squirrel ever since I joined GR but didn't want to confuse my genealogical contacts. Then when GR allowed boardnames I was going to change it to my original idea but thought it my give too much away so changed it to Secret Squirrel instead. Then I was called Red owing to my hair so added that. Daff added 007 1/2 when I broke a thread one time by posting a link that was too long and it widened the page considerably :) There you go! |

George, go to the Community Tab above... hover over it and a menu will drop down.. click on *Boards Summary* then scroll right down to the bottom, and you will see Community Name.. put your chosen name in there..... and you have done it... sometimes it won't let you use the first name you have chosen, but keep trying. |

Well I think it's quite obvious where my name came from. My town of birth and my real name. The only time i change it, is at Xmas when I add HollyStockings between the 2 names. |
