Muffy, just make sure that if you do anything with nuts in, that you label them, I read recently that someone who was allergic was given a cake brought at a school slae and had a reaction to it. I would do small ones you can sell say 2 doz cakes at 25p each and raise £5.80, but if you bake 1 big cake you would probably only raise say £2.50 for that.

i would say the smaller cakes sell the best

but dont forget lots of bags to put them in

Individual cakes sell equally as well I think.

The kids love to buy the iced cup cakes, and the old'uns like to buy a cake for Sunday tea....so take your pick.

I always made a big batch of butterfly cakes, some sold in sixes and some singly, and a couple of sponges. Or a date n walnut loaf, and a coffee sponge. they always went well too.

Youngest has one on Monday.

Anyone on the PTA or in the know able to tell me.

Do the individual cakes sell better and make more money or is it better to bake one larger one? xx
