Well, I've been and gone and done it now. I made a very fast decision and spent a fortune on a whim.

Last night I fancied a new kitchen, the existing one being ultra modern a la 1973, so off I went looking round a few websites. I spotted one I liked, so off I went to my local Focus tonight and bought it there and then.

My dining room is now full of all my kitchen stuff and my little bedroom is full of the new kitchen. We are starting tomorrow. How's that for quick work lol

Hubby doesn't know whether to laugh or cry or divorce me.

I'm off to town tomorrow to get new kettle, toaster etc, new washing up bowl, tea towels etc.

I'm adamant I'm not putting old stuff back in there. No point in spoiling the ship for a pennorth of tar as me granny would have said.

Would that be the same granny who said "mend and make do" then?

Seriously - have a bit of retail therapy

Enjoy

Very true Sue. When she died we dug out loads of bits of tin foil, Ironed out Christmas paper and stuff.

Bob - if I left it up to Hubs I would be waiting another 37 years. He has two speeds, slow and stop. lol

Enjoy your new kitchen.

My husband's attitude to D.I.Y.

Don't....Involve...Yourself.

Hi Gwyn

To my hubby it means Destroy It Yourself.

My Dad is a retired Plumber, and a young lad we know is an apprentice Plumber so they are basically doing it, with me and hubs as labourers.
