I was horrified to see that a prisoner was found with pictures of the girl he murdered - and other photographs of children. I felt sickened for the families involved.

Why was this allowed to happen. Someone should be sacked.

I hope the other children are safe.

My son works in a prison and he says

We are so under staffed and under funded we cant cope ..........
We have people in open hospitals we have to be with 24/7 and those staff come of the blocks !!!!!!

Visitors are also very clever at getting stuff in to their rellies !!!!!!

Prehaps if we as a country LOOKED at who and how many guards there are prehaps that will show some holes!!!

i think its disguting and foul, that a convicted peadophile, would be allowed photos of young children at all. yes prisons are understaffed, but things like this cant be allowed ! x

I,m quite pleased that he has the photos .........coz the people who made the desission to let out the venables bloke got it wrong and the fact that this pervert has the photos removes all responsibility from anyone to decide if to let this one out or not

I agree with what your saying Kempinawooliehat .... but there must be a way of designing a prison cell to prevent them from storing these photos and other items under mattresses!

Ok - maybe sacked was too strong a word in this case - but after a review they should be if it happens again.

Why haven't prisons got simple things like mobile phone blockers?

Families of victims are reliving hell because prisoners are able to maintain contact with the outside world - it must be psycological torment.
