My sympathies and hopes that it doesn't turn into what I had for the last month. (Which was, we'll recall, "a cold" ...)

I don't know whether I lost my sense of taste, because I just lost all interest in eating anything. Along with my will to live.

Stay warm, sleep lots and gripe frquently. I find that's best. ;)

I'm sure it will pass in time but I'll keep in mind what you've said Christina.

On the subject of food ( dinners ) my OH cooked a fantastic one today . Thinly slided beef in gravy with mash , carrots , peas etc . All served in a large Yorkshire pudding . A feast for the eyes indeed . It felt wonderful to eat...............oh how I wished I could actually taste it............lol

Don't worry about me Stray.........taste buds might be off line but my brain is still telling me I'm squiffy.......lol

hi amanda you have my sympathy as 2 years ago the same thing happened to me and i got a severe sinus problem. even after an operation on my nose i still have no smell or taste its pretty awful.however if you just have a bad cold, smell and taste go hand in hand, so maybe after a few days when you nose is better, im sure you will be back to normal. if not dont let it go too long before talking to your gp.
on a lighter note there are indeed some smells in the house i do not miss and would hope that if i was smelling, someone would hopefully tell me, like if i took my slippers off and my feet were ponging a bit! lol!!! really hope you feel better soon

It's " Sailor Jerry Rum " ...the tastiest Rum you can get ( in my opinion )......it doesn't matter how much I guzzle I still can't taste it .........lol

thats probably a blessing i dont mind white rum with a dash of coke lol xx

I always sip Rum Stray.........lol.........just wish I could actually taste the stuff : (

I don't get ill as a rule and when I do I just get on with it without grumbling............but I feel the need to have a bit of a grizzle .

I have the most bunged up nose ever.........and I've completely lost my sense of taste and smell ( loss of smell in this house can be a relief what with OH and the three dogs....lol ) ......but I'm sipping Rum and eating dry roasted peanuts and I can't taste a bloomin thing !!
