Well, when I ate swan in Australia, I thought it tasted like a cross between golden eagle and black faced pygmy rhino.

Joy, everyone said snake tastes like chicken, I didn't think it did, well it certainly hasn't got the same texture...lol. Goat is like lamb but much tastier, sea urchins like drinking salt water *why bother?*, all game birds and large birds taste like - well, game birds..lol, raw fish like fish should taste.

Where some of my family live protein is hard to find, so if it isn't poisonous they eat it!! Quite often if they are fed in the middle of nowhere it's best not to ask what the meat content is (quite often a primate).

I ate mopani worms a few times. They taste like the inside of a marathon runners trainer with a hint of burnt rubber. Yum.

After that, the list is endless. I'll try anything once.

I wouldn't know where to start...lmao

Sea urchins (waste of time IMO) and you need to duck when the person opposite picks one up! Pigeon, snake, every possible seafood (except scampi - cos I am allergic), ostrich, raw fish (all sorts), I was offered grubs once but even I couldn't stomach the thought of those (I still want to throw up thinking about it). Goat (which I love)..yum. I love all offal too.

Some were quite exotic at the time but are pretty common nowadays.
