Nope....sorry Rose...you have to answer as if you are a good person and keep your own feelings to yourself....You just know you do!...tis you....to do anything less will make you feel guilty and feel less of a person.....You just know that I am right.....I am afraid :-)

Oh Rose, I feel like that quite a lot lately. Retired from work last year, oh what I was going to do, but find I have been hibernating, go into panic mode when someone knocks on door. lol

Is it a friendship by email only? If so, I would answer it. For one thing, you might be doing them a favour by being someone for them to talk to.

On the other hand, you might gain a good friendship from it. - and if you feel at a later date, that you are not compatible, you can always 'forget' to answer, or even block/delete.

Curling up in your own little corner is nice for a while - but not always the best way to do things. Go on - answer them. You've nothing to lose.

You can reply Rose in a manner that will not offend, as sometimes when we have matters "hanging over our heads" we tend to want to retreat further and the more we put things off...... mountains to molehills!

yep Cane join the club, I did force myself to answer the phone earlier, and it was someone trying to sell me a credit card... I was not my usual 'regretfully no thanks' self...just 'I'm not interested !" lol

Hi Bob and Rach'...and then I end up feeling guilty because maybe they need someone to talk to to cheer THEM up and get them out of the mire...and then I feel annoyed that I feel that I should help... and do my usual thing of "I'm fine :)))"
