Dear All

Hello

Palm Sunday celebrates the arrival of Jesus Christ on a donkey in Jerusalem for the Jewish festival of Passover. Great crowds of people lined the streets waving palm branches to welcome him.

Jesus went there as It was the time of the Jewish feast of Passover. Many Jews travelled to Jerusalem to celebrate this feast together.

Today, in many Christian churches, Palm Sunday is marked by the distribution of palm leaves (often tied into crosses) to the assembled worshipers. There is usually a small procession to the church for the service.

Some churches from various denominations use this day to gather together in the open air for a small service.

All four Canonical Gospels Mark 11:1-11, Matthew 21:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19 refer to the events.

If you are going to a service, then travel safely.

I think I still have some of the crosses I was given at Sunday School on this day. I am not a worshipper now, but hope those who do attend Church find the services special.

Yes, we got our Palm Crosses this morning. We take down last year's and replace it with the new one.

At our last church we used to order the palm leaves and then meet at someone's house to make them into crosses and have a natter of course. The church where I am now buys them ready made so we miss out on that.

We were packed out this morning and there weren't crosses to go round unfortunately.

Lots of services for Holy Week coming up.

i used to have a cross like that at mam and dads house

i have to admit i forgot this year todays palm sunday
