Death on certificate was "desease of the heart" Thank you for looking,
I just thought that there may have been something in the newspapers at that time because of the gap of 2 months between death and registration.
Thank you anyway SomersetGirl.

Thank you SomersetGirl,
You have helped me before, thank you so much if you could look this up for me. My 3 x Great Grandfather was James Clinker he died in 1855 in October , in Farringdon in Hampshire. His death certificate was signed by the Coroner and the Registrar and there was a 2 month gap between the Coroner signing and the death being registered.

Hi, I believe there is - or used to be - a newspaper "library" or similar in Colindale, north of London?

Somerset Girl, I just registered with the Lancashire library service as I think I may find it useful, particularly for the Lancs side of my ancestors! I already belong to the Kent library service,I think I need to scrutinise their website more carefully to see what else they offer other than books!

Only one thread per topic as it saves duplication of efforts and everyone doing searches can co-operate. :-)

Can someone tell me the best place to look at newspapers on line. I want to look at Hampshire Newspapers in 1855 to see if I can find some reference to my 3 x Great Grandfathers death.
