I think it was Robin Williams quoting John Lennon.

And yes,it is a load of baloney,we are always hearing of free love, peace, wild parties ect. Another load of s%%t.

I was a child of the 60's born 1948, and can't remember any of that, spent the second half growing babies.

It actually wasn't a load of baloney for some of us.

I was born a touch too late for Woodstock (or might have gone) -- started university (instead of finishing high school) in the summer of 69.

The 60s lasted a little bit longer -- my two undergraduate years really were chock full of political organizing - anti-war, women's rights, electoral politics - and pot. And festivals and whatnot.

Not everyone has lived the same life. The line does speak to some of us. ;)

That was a silly think to say......of course you would remember the 60's if you lived through them.......one of the biggest social upheavals of the 20th century....

It was a time when there was more money and more to spend it on.......as a politician said, we never had it so good........the teenage population found its voice and made it heard........no more were we going to follow our parents in fashion, music or otherwise.......new ideas, great music, great time all round......
