Nina that must have been strange to find out. I have always known that I used to live in the house that dad built and my grandma lived in the house that grandad built and my gt aunts lived in the house that my gt grandad built so there have been no real surprises for me like that.

Annina ..Jeannie Nicholson how is she doing these days.

Funnily I was working in the Ealing pub when 2 old guys in there started talking about the war years as they do ...turned out that they were both in the same regiment at the same time, neither came from London let alone ealing and pure chance took them into a back street pub on that day.

How's this for the past constantly niggling us then...

My mum's best friend was engaged to a soldier. One day she introduced him to my mum as he met her off the works bus. Subsequently my mum married him, that was my dad. Mum still remained good friends with her though, and I used to play with her little girl.

We lost contact for a number of years, but when my parents got divorced, when I was 16, me and mum moved back to the town she used to live in, and there we met her friend again.

She then introduced me to my future husband! (now ex). At the same time, my mum met someone new, and he lived next door to her friend! She ended up living there too when she married him.

We've all lost contact again now, her friend got married again and moved to Greece, and we haven't heard from her since.

that apart from I am sooo in trouble with a few mutts lol,
after taking a trip down memory lane with TW, how many more people on here must chat away not realising that in the past they have trod on the same pathways, sometimes at the same time.

My OH said last night that he had been chatting to somebody who used to drink in The Windmill on Old Shoreham Rd Southwick, small world yes we used to own that pub some 2 years after he left the area.

A few years ago we went to Jersey for the world bar-billiards and walking down the road I ran into a customer who used to drink in Ealing.
Annina on the boards here has my best friend from infants as a sister-in-law (or some relation lol)
