My mum is coming to visit!! A big loop from where she is, first to me, then to my brother.

Her cancer treatment was not "successful" ... her lymphoma is shrunk but still causes her pain, and may/will grow, and may/will spread ... and one way or the other her life expectancy is finite now, maybe five years I guess. She'll be 80 very soon, and before long it may be a case of the last time she makes it here to visit (I'll keep going there, of course).

So I guess No.1 had better start the housecleaning ...

Not much at the weekend, but my son is coming up with DIL and grandaughters...and I'm soooo looking forward to it.

I asked him what he wanted for his dinner, and he said, 'we gave up bread and chocolate for lent, so a nice pile of chocolate spread on toast would be good' lol

I think a mississippi mud pie is in order :-)

Depends on the weather, and looking out the window at the moment, we might aswell hibernate. All things being equal, our first real foray on the gardening front, me in the greenhouse, OH on the allotment. Also a Country/Agricultural style show, in support of James Cartland of Carnfield Hall, Alfreton, Derbys, as featured on the Ruth Watson programme. Failing that, yet another trip to the garden centre for lunch, and whatever I can pick up.
Just playing it by ear really at the moment.
