I agree about the voice...lol
My daughter has lived in the states for nearly 30 years and sorry to say she is beginning to sound like Mini mouse...lol

Lovely country,,,,,,,,,,,,,till you hear them high pitched voices of some women like,,,Ricky Lake and others.......that puts me right orfffft..........

He would love it Stray, and so would you lol. Never too old for it ( I was 27 going on 5 while I was there) .

I have promised myself that one day if it is still there I will go back on 'Peter Pan's Magic Flight', you 'fly' out through Wendy's window into the night sky above Ctn Hooks ship...but I didn't see any of it LOL, my mum suddenly panicked at the height and was gripping my hand on the safety bar so tightly I thought it was going to break my fingers, and she was saying 'let me out, let me out' LOL when we eventually got off we were laughing so hard people must have thought we were crazy ;)

i myself hardly ever drink alcohol as it tastes disgusting

I went in 1985, to Los Angeles, my mum won a holiday :) It was wonderful, and the people were without exception lovely to us, from the maid in the hotel , to the guy at the deli lol, We stayed a couple of nights with friends of my brother's, they took us as strangers into their home,

To watch surfers on the Pacific at night, pick lemons from the tree in the 'back-yard', go to Disneyland ( just a big kid ), brilliant.

I would love to go back :))

I've not been to the USA, though people like that could actually put me off going, LOL

I have been to the states twice and I love it, love the people so friendly and welcoming I have made of American friends on Farm town.

I just typed a reply to say thank you rr for welcome..........I have read boards for a while and occasionally posted but now have more time for me!!

And TW you are worth every penny that you get. You and people doing the same job selflessly and with rarely if ever a break save the country (and thats every one of us) countless hundreds of thousand pounds every year.

She must have started to drink very early as they are minimum of 5 hrs behind us time wise....lol 8 hrs if on the west coast.

It's the drink....and the need to get herself banned...she must be busy over easter and avoiding the temptation to be distracted by gr LOL

it is a fine country and I have friends and relatives there. But as it is here, so it is everywhere, there is always one idiot who lets their countrymen down :))
