Have other people noticed that GR add tree members to " Family Tree Search" that do not exist. I have two of my own family members mentioned who I know for a fact do not have trees. Why do they do it ? It is so annoying and frustrating, when you are trying to build a tree, and find a person you think you may be related to, send the member a message and never receive a reply. Please let me know if I am not the only one to experience this. Terry.

Hi Terence, can you be a bit more specific?

Have you sent a message to someone who has your relative in their tree and they have not replied? If so, it is possible that they are no longer members but have just left their tree on the site. Have you looked in your Sent messages to see if your message has been opened? If the little envelope is purple then it hasn't been opened, if it is white then it has and, for some reason, the person has declined to reply.

Family tree search comes up with any unhidden names that are on members trees, not just the names of the owners of trees on here.

Messages that are not responded to could have lots of explanations, only the person who fails to respond knows the answer I'm afraid:)
