£9.25 from the GRO, £9 from a register office; sometimes one can collect them from the latter.

I have paid £10 YES £10 for a birth cert where I live,The price went up last November 1st.I wanted to pick this one up and didn't know about the price rise until I was told by the staff at the Register Office.

But if I had downloaded the form and sent that off with a cheque or rung them I could have got the cert for £7 and still can so if I need any more certs from the Office I will certainly be ringing them.
