My daughters running vista & today when she tried to connect to the internet using internet explorer vista defender popped up saying it had a virus, Trojen-BNK.WIN32.Keylogger.gen. credit card details & passwords are at risk if she doesn't buy defender software to remove the virus $60, she can not connect to the internet, anyone help ?

has she tryed hard wiring it?? ie connecting to the modem via USB cable and not wifi??? if she can she can gogole the virus then find out how to get rid xxx

you have to down load firefox to get rid of that

dont buy it hun its a fake but
stray sorted mine out for me
when i had it and it kept shutting down all the time

i have the trojan-bnk.win32-keylogger.gen virus and i was wondering how to get rid of it for free. i have looked online and the only solutions have been for me to purchase a malware removal program. but i would like to spend no money on this. so if u know a free way to get rid of it, please let me know. other wise, let me know the most inexpensive way. thanks in advance

You don't have Trojan-BNK.Win32-Keylogger.gen because that is a fake alert from a rogue software which show different names with different interfaces depending on the version of Windows that it's running on, and so far - 18 different names. Follow this free removal guide using FixExe.reg and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Please follow the guide accurately.

"XP Internet Security 2010 Firewall Alert!
XP Internet Security 2010 has blocked a program from accessing the Internet
Internet Explorer is infected with Trojan-BNK.Win32-Keylogger.gen
Private data can be stolen by third parties, including credit card details and passwords."

Thanks for the replies but she can't get on the internet to download any removal tools, IE just won't load it just comes up with the virus warning.

UPDATE

Took it into a repair guru today, took him most of the afternoon to fix, although not technically a virus it had stopped several other programs from working properly, all sorted now & thanks for all help offered.
