Thank you for all your messages im staying off the boards for alittle while,have alot going on with one thing and another feel so sad about my late cousins daughter with lung cancer,does anyone go thru the stage that one just crys and dont no why i wish you all anice weekend

Just got back from docters he told Jan i have got Arthritis in my foot so that makes it in my two feet ,my spine and my neck,hes doubled the morphine patches for the pain and ive got to go and have anew pair of shoes made because of the change in my feet,and i,ll tell you they dont come cheap the last pair were 1000,50 euro just as well we have health insurance they pay most of it ,and we go to get our blood checked every three months and we got abill for 122,50 euro and the health dont pay for that its only prick of the finger because we are both diabetes,but hi cant moan it could be worse,just thought i would pop on and let you no ,and thank you for your messages

Dutch you poor thing, my sympathies to you, I also suffer from Arthritis, and the Fibromyalgia intesifies the pain, so yes I understand what your going through, except for the cost of the shoes, my goodness they are expensive, I bet you'll be affraid to wear them too much. xx

Good luck dear Dutch, I am familiar with sore feet, frightful nuisance this aging business is. . . just when mentally we are ready to step out, our feet let us down. I've often wished I could temporarily remove them and hang them on the line for a few hours to air out and get some sun LOL.
Perhaps the Dr could change you to another patch, the synthetic morphine ones can be quite effective once you get the right dose.

Thank you Beverly and Mary ,have been wearing these shoes for few years ,cant wear any other shoes the docter has increased my morphine patches so hope they will work,have to wait till thursday as they did,nt have any in the chemist but there going to bring them to me ,and your right Mary i think its the age

Dutch, can you not buy a blood test machine and do your own finger tip tests? I only go tothe Drs every 6mnths for diabetes checks, and that is a blood test taken and put in bottles and sent away for proper testing. Finger tips we do ourselves daily, my OH 4 times as his goes up and down more than mine, and I do it twice daily. The Dr has to prescribe the test strips here, am not sur if you can just buy them over the counter any where else. The machines are very cheap.

Hello Dutch...got your email thank you, sorry l did'nt see this update. Blinky eck thats all you need. l do hope the morphine patches help?
Try putting warm hot water bottles over your feet, that sometimes helps to relieve pain!!

Jude thats ok just had lady on from the chemist she tried to explain as best she could as her english was,nt very good ,but she said i see that you take medication for your your heart i said yes i have angina,only to be careful as with him putting me on higher dose it has side affects,which it says that on all medication so will just have to be careful,as im on my own all day till Jan gets home from work

i hope them patches give you some relief dutch

dont fret about useing them , if they give you painrelief, it helps you get on top of it,

take it easy, and rest,
