What Eldrick has said on the drug side is good.
I like Strays
More bobbies on the beat ...yes take them out of cars and put them into the community.

id have a national curfew for all chilrden under 16, sorry Stray on this one although I agree I would banish the lot at the age of 10 to an Island ! or for those who are wayward national service of some form. ie remove the thugs from the streets

id make all dog owners put there dogs on a lead, when in a public areas,
id also up the fines for people who dont scoop the poop, to £1000 that might stop em!.... Now that I definately agree with although I would expand on the dog laws

Stray you have my vote.

I agree with Eldrick on this.... there are laws to cover just about everything, if you look carefully. The passing over of our judicial system, in essence, to Brussels meant that many many laws we don't even know about are being broken every day by normal law abiding citizens, lol..... and the Human Rights Act, passed without so much as a whimper from the public plus that one that was ratified with just a 3 line mention in one of the papers a couple of years ago... well, we didn't complain, we didn't shout and harry our MP's, we just sat back and took it. And we were promised a referendum!! Like... yeh!

Stray, I think that you will find the maximum fine possible on dog fouling might be considerably more, but the maximum is rarely imposed. I agree, it should be imposed much more effectively.... and canine pets should be kept on a leash at all times unless in areas free of livestock. I really have a problem with dogs being allowed off the leash in parks where youngsters will go and play football, or make daisy chains, or whatever... how the heck do you pick up their widdle? The dogs widdle, I mean, not the child's.

The laws we had, have had and have been tried and tested through our history, are ok.... they suit all purposes.... even the old piracy laws would fit hijacking, as would the laws on kidnapping..... so even modern crimes could be dealt with effectively using all these old laws and by-laws.

The new rules, laws and dictats have been brought in to encourage us to rely on the state more and more, and so not take responsibility for our own lives and actions! As we type, Parliament is trying to rush through more bills, acts and dictats before it closes ready for the election.... and some of those are not very well thought out at all, in my opinion....

I wish I could make myself clearer than that, but I am still very fuzzy today.... sorry, lol

Love

Daff xxxxx

OK then :-)

I would repeal the misuse of drugs act and legalise all drugs, making them available at pharmacies and subjected to taxation. The proviso being that they would be available by licence, one condition of which would be that the holder would disclaim all treatment under the National Health Service. At one single stroke the entire realm of drug dealing, turf wars and insidious indoctrination into narcotics would cease.

I would do away with all the 'banning' legislation enacted in recent years under this nanny state government.

The list is endless - all the little statutory instruments made to give the state more control over peoples lives and freedoms would go.

:-)

i would do away with old folks homes
and make the family take them in (GRANNYS COMING)

far to many old folks are abused or neglected in those homes

WHAT LAWS WOULD YOU BRING IN TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY BETTER.
OR MAYBE WHAT WOULD YOU ALTER.
