Hi Julia
Yes it's a North East expression meaning 'I've crossed me fingers so I'm not out yet' mostly said in childrens' games.

I've just thought of another guess Susan......Somewhere over the rainbow?
I'm off out for a walk soon as it's too nice to stay in house today......

Byeeee X

Having hummed it to meself, there is a la too many for it to be that.
Anyway, I didn't want to win the prize of a Nottinghamshire BMB CD. Although I am in the next county, all my lot came from, wait for it, Peterborough area. Some of their lands make up the city limits. If the crew were not otherwise engaged this afters.um,um.um, I would have sent them on a lost relly hunt. LOLOL
