Actually there is a post on TTF dated April 8, in which Diane posted yesterday.

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1215663

Diane, the board rule is one post per subject. The risk with multiple posts is that multiple people will see different threads and start doing the same research and offering the same tips and pointers in each one. As you see, this could duplicate effort and isn't really fair to other members.

The best idea is to delete this thread and the one on General. You can add a post to the one on TTF to bring it back up to the top of the list. The problem is, as far as getting help from other members, that there may be none anyone can offer.

As far as people who do know him seeing your search here, the best thing to do is make sure he is in your tree and regularly search trees to see whether any other member has him in theirs.

What you might do with your post on TTF is edit it to put the info in the subject line as here, and enter "Sadler" on the surname line so that anyone looking at that list specifically will see it.

Tree seaches and matches are the best hope of someone related finding you, though.

Best of luck.

>>> Diane >>> you do *not* have Stephen in your tree at GR. All this time you've been posting messages ...

Click the Search Trees button up near the top of your screen.
Search for Stephen Sadler born 1944 (don't put a birth place).

Stephen is a member of this site and has himself in his tree.

You can send him a message by clicking on the "Find out more" button beside his name.

Hopefully his email address with this site is up to date and he will receive your message. You can tell whether he has read it by looking in your "Sent messages" folder. If the envelope beside the message is still purple, it will mean he has not read it yet.

-- edit -- I apologise, I may be all wet. Your Stephen's birth was registered in 1944, but he was born in 1943. The Stephen in the tree was born in West Midlands in 1944. But there is no such birth in the index. I wonder whether there might just be confusion on the part of the person whose tree it is? (Someone else does have your Stephen as born 1944 Hampshire.) It could be worth a try.

And do make a tree here, if you haven't, with Stephen in it! It doesn't have to have a lot of names; just yourself and him and your parent would do it.
