Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 28 Apr 2010 17:53

my birthday is 22nd march but then mums stayed in hospital for 21 days post natal so the earliest time I could be reg was in April thus coming under the June qtr for that year.
would say my mum registered all the children's births cos dad was a shift worker and often started work at 6am so mum was the only one around at opening times of the Reg office

The birth is registered within a 'quarter' so a child born jan will be reg' Jan/Feb/March qtr....likewise a child born 23rd March could be March qtr if they registered within a week...but just as likely to show as April/May /June qtr.

Can anyone explain to me about death cerificates? is it normal to find the birth date may be different? i can find a birth cert for April-june 1942 but death says birth date 23 march 1942.
