I get calls like this every day, even though we're registered with the Telephone Preference Service. I did report one to them and we no longer receive calls from that number. However, the 0800 ones continue and I received one to-day at 12.16, with no-one speaking. I was tempted to ring it back, but am glad I didn't, having read Sue's post. I'm going to report it to the TPS. These calls always seem to come at an inconvenient time too - I was down the lavatory with my marigolds this time, but as I was expecting an important call, I had to answer it. Bloomin' nuisance!

block the number if its on your moby ...if house phone get on to ??????? they can block it if its calling from uk....

Here in Aus. there's a scam going on where you get a phone call, no one answers and if you ring it back you are charged a high premium. A real money-maker. Could be something similar.

i keep getting a number coming up on my phone 0800-------- it comes up as unknown.it rings constantly,when i answer it shuts off.i just tried ringing it and it says .this number is chargable .so i shut off.any ideas of what it could be .xxxx
