So long as my membership continues, I shall always be a standard member here :-)

I subscribe to both ancestry and find my past. Find my past has the 1911 census, transcriptions and images and enumerators books, as does the official 1911 site - http://www.1911census.co.uk/

Ancestry has the enumerators books at present and will have the complete 1911 census by the end of this year.

I joined FMP in 2009 for the sole purpose of accessing 1911 census - all inclusive.

I give the details of the 1911 census whether anyone ask's for it or not!! Its my way of "Giving Back".....just ask for a look up on the TTF board Anne, there are lots of members willing to help. PH

I have to admit Genes is better than Ancestry for the 1911 census all Ancestry give you is theenumerators page, which only shows the head of the household and the address no more than that...no details on how many children the family had and lived and how many years married,Genesreunited show us all that information, which is hugely useful searching family history.

Because of this information i was able to find out that my grt grandparents never married due to the fact that my grandfather was already married. I had been searching for months and months for their marriage and had i have had this information it would have saved me numerous months searching.

I have to say lots of people on Genes who have access to 1911 census are always happy to share that information you require just ask and you will see .

You don't get the image of the household on here just the transcription.

The image is the page from the enumerators book listing the street with just the surname of the family at each address.

Yes it would have been generous, considering those who subscribe to the 1911 census pay £39-00 or so for six months, for viewing the records, which is more than is paid for Gold membership.

I dont think it was ever on the cards you would get the 1911 census included in Gold membership.

Hi I do wish genes would have been more generous and allowed gold members access to 1911 census info I cant afford to go " Platinum "
