Times are hard and we all have to tighten our belts .
We used to make all own wine / beers but have become lazy over the past few years and slipped into buying shop products .
The abundant time of harvest is just round the corner and it's high time to cease the moment !
I shall be having a rummage in the loft tomorrow and looking to see if I need to replace my bungs and air traps .
Any recipes appreciated : )

I've been having a bit of a read in my old " Newnes Household Encyclopedia " and " Enquire Within " books ...they go back to the year dot by the sounds of them . There are some interesting beverages mentioned in both ......but I'm blowed if I know what a " drachm " equates to in todays measurements .

I've been thinking I might have a go at a Blueberry and Raspberry combination to begin with .

It is all your fault Stray ....getting me going with all that talk of Strawberry Cider ! ............lol x
