I'm fed up with people who find themselves distantly related to me and then add the wrong info to their tree, even though they got most of their info from me in the first place, they then change it to suit themseves. Grrrrr!

I'm with you here Paula.
I hate when someone who has a relative who has married into my family..... then copies my tree.
I don't think that is the way it should be.
I am looking for direct lines,,, perhaps I'm wrong.

Deanna, I have one like that, she is married to a relative of the people I met up with on Saturday, they said they have told her not to collect all their rellies who aren't closely connected with her but she seems to just want lots of names on here tree, regardless of how close they are to her.
Silly woman, I am not going to tell her she has details of my Mum wrong lol

Interesting. How much distance do you think there should be re peoplle who have married into a family, one generation, no generation or ??. I found someone who had married a great uncle and then discovered that 4 generations earlier another person the two families were again connected through marrage.
I have just read what I have written and not sure if it makes sense but basicall I am saying that two families married into my maternal families but several generations apart.

Oh I am still ot sure if I have expressed this clearly but hope you understand at I am saying....
Looking forward to hearing from you
